Sports Day :
Prayag celebrates its annual sports meet “Prayag Kridotsav” every year , realizing Nehru's cherished dreams of 'Liberated Childhood'. It will be a two day event full of fun and frolic where the students brimming with enthusiasm and assemble in their respective house arenas. Keeping in mind thspoe spirit of true sports man, the Head boy will lead the oath taking ceremony by all participants. The students participates in various games like Basketball, Cricket, Kho-Kho and other track and field events. The two day long fun and frolic comes to an end, but with a promise that next year at the same place with double vigor and refreshed enthusiasm.
Assemblies:
At Prayag, assemblies are an integral aspect of the schooling experience. The culture of school assemblies
helps maintain a sense of unity amongst students through the interactions of students of different
classes. The students assemble at a designated spot in the school field, Birthdays are announced and
celebrated, News is read out, and at times, teachers make announcements regarding academics or behavioral
policies. We also use Assemblies to promote English language by discussing about “Word of the day”.
On occasions, special performances may also be held. The assembly ends with the teachers and students
singing the National Song or National Anthem.
Cocurricular Activities:
A child educated only in classrooms is an uneducated child
Apart from curriculum, various literary activities such as debate, Essay writing, quiz etc. will be
conducted under the able guidance and supervision of the teachers. Education being the all -round
development of the innate talents of child, we give as many opportunities as possible to every student, to
participate in a variety of co- curricular and extra -curricular activities. This will help the child to
improve and develop his/her talents and aptitude and also inculcate a spirit of healthy competition . It
will teach him/her to be a more discipline and organized individual. All students are allotted to one of
the four Houses and are required to take part in a variety of inter -house activities and competitions to
discover nurture and showcase all their talents.Our inter house discipline and interschool competitions
combined with various cultural tests give students the exposure to develop their social and communication
skills. We also regularly conduct classes for dance, Taekwondo, art & craft etc.
